- Monday: 8:00-19:00
- Tuesday-Thursday: 8:00-18:00
- Friday: 9:00-14:00

Why This Matters
Animal shelters go through towels and blankets constantly. Every day, animals need clean, dry bedding – and shelters rely on donations to keep up. HESY (Helsinki Animal Welfare Society) is a pioneer in Finnish animal welfare: it was founded back in 1874. Over the past 40 years, HESY’s main area of activity has been helping homeless pets.What We’re Collecting
What’s Accepted?
HESY is very flexible! Items don’t need to be in perfect condition – they just need to be clean (washed). Here’s a guide:
✅ YES – We Accept
Faded but functional
Permanent stains OK
Worn or frayed edges
Small holes or tears
❌ NO – Cannot Accept
Unwashed / dirty items
Down duvets
Moldy or smelly items
💡 Simple rule: If it’s been washed and doesn’t contain down, HESY can use it! Don’t throw away old textiles – animals don’t care about looks.
How to Participate

Gather your old towels, sheets, and blankets
2️⃣
Wash them before drop-off
3️⃣
Drop off at Super Pesula by Friday Dec 12, 14:00
About This Event
This donation drive is a collaboration between Nextdoor Host and Super Pesula.
Nextdoor Host provides full-package short-term rental management service for property owners in Helsinki.
Super Pesula offers textile rental for STR hosts – fresh linens delivered, worn ones picked up.
